We've expanded our Charity of the Year program to benefit 3 charities!

COTY and CMT

Affinity Devon has announced an expansion to its Charity of the Year program, moving away from a single recipient to a dynamic approach that supports three organisations: a primary partner and two secondary partners. This new model reflects the company's commitment to making a more meaningful and far-reaching impact on the communities it serves.

The primary partner for 2024 has been announced as Families in Grief, who will receive the majority of Affinity Devon's charitable donations as well as have the opportunity to use the shopping centre throughout the year for any fundraising events and initiatives. Families in Grief are dedicated to providing tailored bereavement support including one to one and group support at home, school and other settings, along with a range of other activities to enable young people and their families to connect, support each other and understand their feelings.

The Tony Hudgell Foundation and FearFree will be their secondary charity partners, receiving a smaller but still significant amount of charitable donations and support. These organisations share similar missions and values, both making a profound impact on the lives of those who have been emotionally, physically, or psychologically abused.

"We are excited to expand our charitable giving program, supporting a number of organisations that are making a difference in the community," said Craig Hill, Centre Manager of Affinity Devon. "This new approach will allow us to make a more meaningful impact on a broader scale and to partner with organisations that align with our values and the interests of both our employees and customers."

Naomi Jefferies, CEO of Families in Grief says “We are over the moon to have been chosen as the lead charity partner by Affinity Devon. The opportunity to have a presence in the shopping centre will really help to raise awareness of how we can help any bereaved local family in need of support. We very much look forward to the year ahead and to working with our fellow charity partners and, of course, Affinity Devon.”

Affinity Devon will collaborate closely with all three charity partners to develop effective strategies for achieving their missions. Any information on upcoming events and activities supporting the three chosen charities will be posted on Affinity Devon’s website (affinitydevon.com) and social media channels.
